Things Just Got Heavy
So, funny thing happened yesterday, some old guy came running out of the DeLorean running after me saying that the Year of Time Travel had to stop with Back to the Future Part III. I didn't understand what he was ranting and raving about something about being from the future and if we continue it could result in the total destruction of the space time continuum. I asked him why I should believe him and he said we were related (I didn't see any resemblance). Anyway, he got back in the DeLorean and drove off after making sure we would never complete our Year of Time Travel. So unfortunately the Year of Time Travel will end with Back to the Future Part III.
In all seriousness though, things have gotten serious here at MFP HQ and a number of decisions have been made about how we are going to go forward. This network only survives as long as we are able to sustain it and keep recording and churning out new episodes so we have made some choices about the best way for us to go forward the first of which is we are ending the Year of Time Travel commentary series that we have been teasing lately. This is a difficult decision for us all but after recording the November episode we all enjoyed the free flow format of simple roundtable discussions and would like to do more of them.
That brings us to the next change, the Movie Fans Podcast (the team show) will no longer be a commentary show, we will adopt the roundtable format starting at the end of the Back to the Future trilogy. More updates will be coming out about what we will be doing for that show but expect some interesting episodes.
The final change is that my show, Brendan's Bombastic Movie Podcast will also be changing its format, details will be announced in an upcoming episode.
And in true Steve Jobs fashion...one more thing. This May the Movie Fans Podcast Network will be launching a new show that comes out pretty much whenever we feel like it, potentially with a rotating panel of hosts and the occasional team discussion but may I present, the TV Fans Podcast premiering May 29th. I'm very excited about that show and what it can become.
All of these changes will take hold in April so it's a very exciting time once again and we look forward to being able to let you guys listen to what we have coming up.

Housekeeping!
Hey, Brian here, with a quick update on the technical side of things. If you notice the podcast's RSS feed randomly update during the day don't worry. That just means I'm fixing broken links and posts. That being said, let me know if your favorite episodes suddenly become unplayable or if anything doesn't work. Post a comment here indicating the episode or email the issue to us. Sometimes the title links don't work out and sometimes I just forget! Also, I will be going through all of the posts and adding new tags and labels just for convenience.
Stay tuned to this feed, Older Brendan has some more important news coming here soon!

Show Stoppers #2: Shooter and Sabotage
(2/9/15)
With the loose theme of "government men," Brian and Brendan are back to review two awful films available on Netflix. First is 2007's Shooter, staring Mark Wahlberg, followed by 2014's Sabotage, staring Arnold Schwarzenegger. While both are sub-par, one is definitely more enjoyable than the other, and it's time for these two to decide!
